From the moment we arrived, one could feel the love in the air! Although, I truly believe that there should only be one raw spirit event of the year, I have to say that this tiny RSF was perhaps the most fun one for us yet. I loved the fact that no matter which direction I went off in, I could always find a friend. I can't tell you how awesome it is to have a friend around every cozy corner. The first thing Ian and I did was go for a hike over by Watson Lake. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMM! I love the desert, it is such a unique and strange place. Although it seems hostile, there's really a fragility to it. Next time we go to Watson Lake, we will be kayaking! What an extraordinary way to see the water. Our demo of Jicama tacos was at 3pm, so we had plenty of time to just hike and take in the beauty. We arrived at the demo area and Jason the fabulous ice cream man and oh so much more was there to greet us. I love seeing him, he has such darling energy! Talk about someone FULL of LOVE, that man is nothing but love. The demo was a blast and everyone loved it. After that, we packed up and headed to vendor booths. The first one we visited was our friend's booth, The Chocolate Tree. We ordered CHOCOLATE of course! After all, what's a raw spirit festival without chocolate? I love Jeffrey and Kelly's chocolate because it is not only delicious, but the most important thing for me is the fact that they don't use cacao powder to make their chocolates. I am passionate about eating chocolate that still has SUPERFOOD qualities to it and they make that happen in a big way by using cacao nibs! I felt so loved at that booth, loved and spoiled! That was the place of dreams really, not only did they keep the chocolate coming, but also the DURIAN~my kind of place. Next we checked out Vivapura, another fabulous place for superfoods and love. After all that snacking it was time for one of my favorite people on this planet, SCOTT HUCKABAY! Ian and I have known him for more than 15 years and he truly is a member of our family forever. I love that man! If you haven't seen him, met him, or heard his music, I suggest you get yourself acquainted with him as soon as possible. You can find out more about him by visiting
www.scotthuckabay.com He was more than mind blowing this time around. Whoever was running the sound this time around gets a life time supply of hugs from me, because for the first time ever at the RSF, Scott came through the way he is supposed to come through-PERFECT! I don't remember really sleeping much at all, I mean how could you sleep with so many parties going on and such kick-ass music. We played all night each night with some really extraordinary and beautiful souls. I came back from the Raw Spirit Festival with an intent of LOVE for all. It is so easy to get caught up in all the fear mongering going on, that one finds it difficult to stay in a pure state of bliss and love. If we allow ourselves to get caught up in all that fear, how can we even realize our full potential on this plane? I have always been a love person for as long as I can remember and somehow along the way, I became riddled with fear and out of alignment with who I truly am and the RSF helped me remember that I am being of light and love and I must remain in this space for a harmonious existence. We can be aware and enlightened without buying into fear for even a second. When we are prepared with goods and knowledge, love and harmony, we can share this wisdom with all. We are better able to come from a love space that leads to sharing our abundance, light, and love with the world. When we are in a state of fear, we are in state of despair, this state of mind moves us closer to dis-ease. When we stay in a state of love, we create powerful immune systems. Today is my anniversary and a special celebration of love with a man I loved so much, I married him twice! All three of us have vowed to stay in a state of only love and when one of us falters, we pick ourselves up, dust off our shoulders, and start all over again. In closing I would like to say, the RSF may have been the tiniest one yet, but one thing it wasn't lacking in was LOVE!
